Living with osteoarthritis is something that Theresa Ostrowski has been plagued with for years. She said the pain in her knee and shoulder is like a nail coming through her bones due to the severity of her bone-on-bone arthritis. But, unfortunately, life circumstances make surgery an impossible option, and cortisone shots are the treatment path she’s chosen. That said, she came to PA Malyssa Chanthasoto seeking relief from the pain that this awful disease inflicts on her daily life.

Upon her first appointment, Malyssa used the ultrasound machine and checked Theresa’s previous medical records to pinpoint precisely where the problem area of her arthritis was. Whereas other doctors had simply used standard injection sites for cortisone shots, Theresa emphasized that Malyssa actually listened and took the time to switch up the injection site to target where the pain was radiating from.
