As a self-proclaimed pickleball addict, Wendy knew something was off when she started having persistent pain in her right shoulder. Dr. Risinger’s approach was thorough and reassuring. He took the time to conduct a physical examination, ordered necessary X-rays, and skillfully manipulated her shoulder to pinpoint the source of the discomfort.
Wendy shared that within minutes of the manual exam, he was able to diagnose her with shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS). Due to the number of overhead shots, her favorite pickleball move, in her weekly routine, it made sense SIS would be the diagnosis as it stems from inflammation from repetitive movement.
