Dr. Bruce Leading a Team of Compassionate Caregivers

There’s nothing that ruins a vacation quite like an injury. But this patient, a self-proclaimed stubborn human with a penchant for not sitting still, wasn’t going to let it slow them down.

After returning from a two-week getaway, they knew something was wrong with their ankle, and they had to get it checked out. They made an appointment at the Rocky Hill Ortho SpeedPass and were seen promptly by a PA who facilitated x-rays and was able to determine that they had broken their ankle while abroad. It was recommended that they see a specialist for the injury.

In just a week’s time, they were able to get an appointment with Dr. Bruce – “That’s almost unheard of for a specialist appointment.”

Dr. Bruce was thorough and compassionate and quite visibly worked well with her team, according to the patient. She prescribed a week in a boot and physical therapy along with a brace for the following weeks to ensure proper healing.

They went on to share that despite the fact that they preferred to purchase their brace elsewhere to save on the cost, the team still opened one to show them exactly what to do for proper placement and healing. The ultimate show of care!

During every visit, the patient raved about the expeditious service stating, “Every time I visited, I’ve had three appointments, I never had to wait more than a minute.”

But beyond that, they shared that it was quite obvious that the entire office truly cared about you. “During every visit staff was smiling – from the x-ray technicians to the medical assistants to the schedulers. They really go out of their way,” they shared.
